IT IS HORRIFYING. I know a girl who was cut after day 1. they will be sizing you up and will tear you apart emotionally. I know one house tries to make girls cry during a rush event just to size them up

That's a bunch of baloney! Houses want girls to like them, just as much as girls going through rush want the sororities to like then. They would never try to make girls cry. And I have never heard of someone getting cut from all 12 houses after the first day. Never. It's pretty much if you rush, you will get in A HOUSE. Not all girls get their absolute first choice, because I have never met a girl who didn't get cut from a single house, but the one you end up in you love after bid day, because he girls who chose you love you and are excited to have you

IF you have recs for every house but don't really KNOW any of the girls in any of the houses and you aren't a legacy, then this will help u.

Expect to be cut by KKG, DDD, PIPHI if you don't have a close, personal friend who is already in one of those houses. Legacies sometimes help, but recs will not help.

You will be cut by THETA and CHIO if you aren't a legacy again recs aren't helpful for these houses.

Realistically, any girl with good recs can get into these houses:
ACHIO, ADPI, DG, DZ, GPHI, KD, ZTA.

It's so sooo scary! Prepare yourself for the most horrifying terrifying thing ever. It's a blood bath and survival of the fittest competition between all girls (comparable to hunger games). There will be blood, sweat and tears. You will go to every sorority house and a girl will talk to you and you leave. Wow how horrendous. Only the lucky ones will make it to bid day. You have been warned

I went through recruitment last fall and it's both physically and emotionally draining. Be prepared to be cut from the houses you absolutely loved. Also, be prepared to get called back to the houses you know (or you think you know) aren't for you. You will have conversations with actives that seem completely genuine and then the next day they won't be on your party list. Many girls drop because it's just too much for them and they have their eyes set on a particular house. The biggest tip I have is to just keep your head high and have an open mind. Almost no girl will get the number one house they want so just continue with the process and you'll find your home.

I would go through the recruitment process one thousand times before I ever chose to be on the inside of the house again. The PNM's have it easy! Think of recruitment as the one time in your life that you will meet over 100 people in one week that all actually care what you have to say!! The process stinks in some ways, but overall if you just act yourself and listen to your gut, it will work out and you will be happy!

If you listen to your rho gammas during the week and don't cut anyone on preference night, you're guaranteed a bid! Not being mean, but if you just show up and aren't really weird you will get invited back to Gamma Phi, DZ and ADPi because they don't always make their numbers! Rush is great, youll be fine!
