I have been contacted by a couple of sororities for spring rush/COB, however I am not able to participate right now due to personal reasons. If I am able to participate in the fall I would love to. Since I have been contacted, does that mean I have a good chance of receiving a bid if I rush this fall?

Honestly, knowing how competitive formal recruitment is, I'd take my spring COB and run. Nothing's guaranteed.

If you don't take them during spring why should they wait around for you so they could take you during fall? i'd say you have less of a chance.
