being a senior wouldn’t really put you at a disadvantage for rush, but the only thing I’d be concerned about is money. The dues can get pretty expensive and it might not be worth it if you’re only there for a year. But, if that doesn’t bother you and you wanna make new friends/get to go to alumni events in the future I say go for it! :)

Being taken as a senior is VERY hard and kind of unlikely...my year only 2 chapters took a senior.

Rushing as a senior (depending if you mean frat or sorority) is gonna be extremely hard. A lot of the houses (not most) want girls that’ll be there for 4 years or 3 years or 2. I would find it hard to fit in Bc your pc class is mostly 18 year olds and you’ll won’t have enough time to get to know all of them but it’s worth a shot rushing

Do you have a ton of friends in 1 or 2 houses? Those would be your best bet because then you would have a friend group to go into in the house.

I know sorority membership is “for life” but consider your new member experience. 90% of your pledge class will be freshmen....Seniors are thinking about grad school or job interviews....Freshmen are adjusting to life away from parents and high school. You’re not going to have much in common with the majority of your pledge class if you get a bid.

Not saying don’t try but personally I wouldn’t waste the effort on recs & all that rush stress unless I had a TON of active friends to majorly pull for me. Without that I honestly don’t think you have much of a chance.
