The 2014 rankings. People are always going to argue but this is as honest as it's going to get.
TOP: Kappa, Tri Delt, ZTA, AXO
Middle: Pi Phi, XO, Theta, DG
Bottom: KD, DZ, Gamma Phi, ADPi
Kappa is the most popular around campus.
Tri Delts hang out with Fiji's which is why they are top tier.
Zeta's are all the pretty blondes.
Alpha Chi has the prettiest girls this year (drink a lot though).
Pi Phi's don't go out but they still have good girls.
XO/Theta are bible beaters. No presence on campus really other than XO's Songfest.
DG has randoms but still a good sorority.
DZ/KD/Gamma Phi all have really nice girls.
ADPi is really trying to improve.

AXO did get a beautiful pledge class but that is not all it takes to be a top sorority. Girls from top schools and neighborhoods are going to choose classy and big Texas names whenever they can. Tri Delta and Kappa will be their top choice and Pi PHi and Chi O will be next. AXO, and Dg are getting hot girls from the suburbs and small towns, but not the ones those other four chapters consider the top PNMs. Zeta gets some but really most girls from families that understand the Greek system are going Kappa, Tri Delta, Pi Phi, and Chi O. Just the truth in Texas.

The girls who "understand the greek system" go where ever they fit in and find a home... I don't know about you but I personally joined a sorority for the friendship and sisterhood and I laugh at people who joined for superficial reasons and then hate it because they don't get along with the other girls.

I am not a Kappa, but I am from a good school and knew going in that I wanted one of those four chapters or maybe Theta. I would have tried to get into one of those at any school in Texas. They are top nationally and in Texas. I have to be honest and say that our chapters are huge here. I would like some girls in every single chapter.....I think most of us would. However, national reputation was important to me. I joined my chapter for more than just the four years I am here. Many girls do not care about that, which is fine, but I do.

Two different paths depending on where you are from and if you care about Texas reputation and national name. Does not mean one path is better just that girls from different backgrounds choose differently. Also, if you disagree with this, I bet you are not from Highland Park, Alamo Heights, Memorial etc with lots of Greek connections.

If you are smart, social, outgoing, and know about sororities, you will choose from Kappa, TriDelt, PiPhi, Chi O
If you are smart and not very social and know about sororities you will choose Theta
If you are social, outgoing, mostly care about appearance you will go Zeta
