spring rush

by:

I am planning to transfer to Texas A&M next spring (2015) and I will probably be classified as a second semester sophomore. I would like to participate in spring rush, but I understand that those bids usually go to friends of the girls in sororities. I will be brand new at that school and don't know a soul there. Any chance that I could get a bid? How exactly does the process work? I have contacted greek life office just to find out more, but haven't heard back. I understand that it's a long time away but I want to be prepared.

No. They only bid girls who are friends of girls in the houses. You can't expect to just show up and get a bid

They usually do give them to girls they know, but I would keep trying to contact the greek life office. That way you know which chapters are having Spring Recruitment, and you can go to their events. If you go to events, meet some girls, and they like you, there is no reason for them to not give you a bid. GOOD LUCK <3.
