sorority?

by: GoGreek

I'd love to participate in sorority recruitment, but there are a couple of things holding me back. Being in a top sorority is not important to me, I just want to be in a sorority where I fit in. A&M greek life seems more friendly and accepting than most other schools, am I correct to think that in reality there are no top/bottom houses at A&M and that they are all just personal preferences? Do other sororities/fraternities (as well as non greek students) judge you based on which sorority you belong to? Or is it just one big greek family?

I would think there are about 5% brats that actually care about petty S like that, and the rest of us love the house and BFF's we've made in it and wouldn't trade them for the world.

would even say that the 5% who are petty, keep very quiet about it. NonGreeks don't care.

Most guys only want to date girls from top tiers. Most girls in top tiers look down on other houses. Non greeks are pretty clueless about tiers and rankings, but greek students will definitely judge you based on which house you belong to.

As someone in a "top" house, I think you are ridiculous. We are one big greek family. We have friends in all chapters! Join were you fit in and based on the values of each chapter, dont go for name. In 4 years, name wont matter and all you'll have is the friends and the values you share with them. GL in recruitment.

to frat daddy, you sound like a stupid freshman who's still stuck in hs. this is college, joining any organization can only help you, not hurt you, this especially applies to sororities! whatever one you join is awesome, and no one cares about that silly "rankings"
