Howdy! I was wondering if anybody could share numbers about how many girls went through recruitment, how many dropped out, and how many were released completely? From what I understand, as long as you maximize your options you are pretty much guaranteed a bid. Is this true? Is it common for girls to get released completely if they maximize their options?

From what I understand, there was a little under 1100 girls during recruitment. I believe pledge classes were around 70 so 12 sororities x 70 spots =approx. 840 members. Of course these are just rounded numbers. I don't think anyone can divide up the remainder and say for sure how many dropped out or were cut completely. If you make it to pref night and put all the houses that you received pref invites from on your list, you are guaranteed a bid.

are only guaranteed a bid if you make it to pref night. Grades and reputation (DUI's, bad social media) are some of the reasons girls can be cut completely from recruitment before pref
