Greek Life at Texas A&M is absolutely terrible. Even the "best" fraternities on campus still suck. The "best" consist of 80 man chapters. The "best" chapters at schools with a decent Greek Life and decent overall Greek system have 80 man pledge classes. You may claim yourself the "best" fraternity, but realistically you know you're still a pretty weak chapter.

Yes, fraternity life is not big here but its growing every semester. A&M, being one of the most conservatives and white schools out there, has great potential for having a good Greek system...which currently is in its early stages..
Main reason why the Greek system here is because of the damn corps..

I am in a top sorority here and we are laughing so hard reading all these comments. I'm sorry but any fraternity that self ranks everyday (DELT) is probably full of losers. We all think this is the ranking in terms of wealth, attractiveness and parties:
TOP (no order): FIJI, SAE, Beta, KA
Middle (in order): Sigma Chi, Delt, Sig Ep
Bottom: Pi Kapp
Honestly don't know the rest...

Yeah A&M chapters are kind of small for a big public university, but very few chapters anywhere get 80 man pledge classes. The top chapters at Washington and Lee are smaller than A&M and no one disrespects their Greek life. Alabama has one of, if not, the best Greek systems in the country and their top chapters get 40-60 man pledge classes. There are only a handful of chapter at a handful of schools where anyone gets an 80 man pledge class, and half the guys don't know each other. Probably 10-20 total chapters in the country any given year, and that's a liberal estimate.
