Rushing as a junior

by:

So I rushed last year as a sophomore, ended up dropping (unhappy with the house I got on bid day). Is it even reasonable to consider rushing again and trying for a different house?

Did you rush for the first time as a junior? Or second/third time? If you rushed again, why do you think you had a better outcome as a junior?

What has changed since last year? Why do you think you’ll have a better outcome than the house you got but didn’t want last year?

No snark - seriously asking. Are your grades vastly improved? Is your leadership resume significantly stronger? Did you become tight friends with a ton of sorority women? Did you not get RECS last year and now you have strong recs for all houses?

If it’s the same you as last year, you’re going to have the same results. Especially since you got a bid and dropped.

It’s not going to look very good that you dropped last year. Why would a sorority give you a bid if they think you are just going to drop? It’s a waste of someone who would have really loved to be in that chapters space

Sororities know if you received a bid/ and or rushed the previous year. It does not look good on your part. If they didn’t want you then, they aren’t going to want you now.
