tests & ap classes

How important are test scores when going through recruitment? I have a decent gpa and was in a couple different organizations but I am a horrible test taker and just did not do well on my SAT or ACT.. could this hurt my chances on receiving a bid? Also my is pretty decent, but I didn't take any AP classes.. just regular level, could this hurt my chances as well?

I haven't yet, don't know if I will. But if I do I would like to go through recruitment. I was just looking for a response to my question so I'd know. Thanks though, appreciate it.
