the actual facts

by:

Seriously the tiers did not change at all this year. There were so many amazing girls that went through recruitment this year that every house got great girls. All houses improved but the tiers remain the same:

Kappa
Tri Delt
Zeta
DG
PiPhi
AXO/XO
DZ
Theta
GPhi
KD
AdPi

I was cut by DZ and went Theta and I'm so glad I did--DZ is awful or nonexistant at every other Texas school

@ really true.....yawn. Seriously, the whole ranking thing is stupid. You think one thing, someone else posts another ranking and ranks their house higher, then someone else ranks, then another girl creates her own rank, then the second person who posted a rank submits the same ranking again using a different name, then person number three posts "best ranking" as a reply to her ranking, under another name of course, ...... yawn

still do not think it is ranked like that. You have only two groups at the same rank. Most houses are more interchange. You could change the letters on many gils t-shirts and not be able to tell the difference. The ranking are people who have a preconceived biased based in what they hear, not what the actually observe. Some get on hear and bash houses and talk up theirs, just to improved their own ranking.

Pi Phi and Chi O both got way better pledge classes than ZTA and DG. Theta also got a really good pledge class, certainly better than DZ and probably better than AXO.

Why does adpi rank so low at A&M when they're so good everywhere else? Doesn't make sense.

by: good question

all I know is that they're in some kind of rebuilding phase that is similar to to recolonization.. so they don't have as many members as the others yet. Looks like they're growing and I'm sure their national reputation will help them. KD and ADPi are both normally really strong SEC sororities...strange to see them not as bid here

They aren't so good everywhere else but especially weak in Texas. They're weak sauce bottom of the middle/top of the bottom at UT. They nearly closed here recently because they had so few members.

I know an ADpi that's considering transferring to a&m but is concerned. She doesn't want seem shallow but not affiliating & she could actually help them, but adpi is top sorority at her current school.

ADPi is not strong in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Big 12, Big 19, PAC 10, Ivy,

I beg to differ. ADPi is very strong at UT, Texas State, UNT, Sam Houston, Arkansas, Alabama, (Do I need to keep going?) and is currently colonizing at Tulane. Don't speak about things you don't know.

No they aren't. They're bottom middle to upper bottom at UT and took a frightening pledge class this year. Very middle at Texas State and most other Texas schools. Even in the SEC they have problems. They're colonizing at Tulane because they closed before due to numbers problems. They're colonizing at Ole Miss because they closed before due to numbers problems too. They suck in Oklahoma and Arkansas too. They nearly closed here due to low numbers.

we all know KKG and Tridelt are the most popular chapters in Texas followed by PiPhi, XO, then Theta and ZTA. Lots of legacies and history. After that, AXO, DG and ADPi are on about equal footing if you average the campuses. KD would be in there too, they just don't have as many chapters in Texas. Gamma Phi is growing in Texas and doing quite well.
NONE of these groups are weak in Texas--they are the survivors that have stayed around when MANY other chapters have closed all over Texas. EVERY group has closed chapters in Texas due to low numbers except Kappa and PiPhi..(and maybe Theta, I'm not sure?) so you could arguably say those are the strongest.

Does any of this really matter??? No. What matters is that you love your own group and support Greek life.

ADPI is not "good everywhere else" by any means...only good on "some" SEC campuses, and chapters in North Carolina

They have given up chapters in Texas (SMU) and surrounding states (LSU, OU, New Mexico) and struggle at A&M & Arkansas to make quota.

don't know that that's true...KD, ZTA and ADPi are top or middle tier throughout the SEC and ACC. They both have a strong presence in the rest of the country but are usually middle tier with some weaker chapters.

The "National Top 12" groups are KKG, KAT, PiPhi, DDD, DG, XO, AXO, APhi, ADPi, Gamma Phi, KD, ZTA

I agree with your top 12 but not necessarily in that order
