sisterhood. This process is much more relaxed than formal recruitment, and you did not have to go through formal recruitment to be a part of this process. You will meet more chapter women at these events than any events held during formal recruitment. If you are Greek and know of someone that deserves to be Greek, then tell her about our events. Give ADPi a try; coming out doesn't mean you're automatically committed, and we have someone for everyone—girls that go out, girls that prefer quiet evenings at home, blondes, brunettes, girls that like shopping, girls that go to the movies, girls that travel (usually together), Spring Breakers, Pintrest DIY-ers, Fish Camp Counselors, coffee drinkers, oldest child down to the youngest child, sometimes the only child, small town girls, girls from out of state, girls from big cities, girls that drive cars, girls that drive trucks, girls in a variety of majors…basically girls that work hard and play harder! The thing we all have in common is the love of our letters on our badge and the lifelong friendships ADPi has given us.
I would also encourage anyone to attend one of our events that gave up on the formal recruitment process. You most likely left feeling like the wind was knocked out of your sails and rightfully so, but the main reason people join Greek lettered organizations is to make friends and be a part of something that lasts well beyond college years. I can confirm that every chapter on the row can offer that, including ADPi.

I have to say I am impressed with all this chapter has done to improve in the past two years. I am a recent graduate and I still remember the rumors that ADPi was closing. Good for you.

Since they are that strong nationally, I would recommend giving them a 2nd look. As a former student who relocated out of state, I will say that having a strong national sorority makes a difference. My sorority is strong at A&M, but not as strong nationally and it has made it very hard to get as involved as I would like. You are only in college for 4 years, but you are a greek for life. Something to consider. BTW - good job on your events, they sound fun.

For those girls who were not able to participate in recruitment this fall, or those girls who prematurely dropped out (...and it can be overwhelming), this is a great opportunity to look into Greek life in a more informal manner. As noted above, ADPi is VERY strong nationally, and that can really be helpful down the road.
The girls in the Texas A&M chapter are sweethearts and have done a lot to improve their chapter over the last couple of years.

Thought this strand was great , until the comment about being strong nationally and saying others are not. I have seen this comment before and looked up the number of alumni chapters for the different sororities. They all have around the same number. ADPi, we want to be seen as positive, try staying that way.

I'm in a sorority close to ADPi so I saw their new members on bid day... very cute girls! This house has really changed since my freshman year and I'm glad to see them doing so well. Go Greek!

The girls that cannot support our efforts are just girls worried that we might actually get really good again and pass them We at ADPi welcome all this negativity because it just makes us work harder. Grow up!

I think it's great for A D Pi to post on this site and fill it with true information instead of the garbage that has always been listed. Maybe if all of the houses concentrated on their strengths instead of bashing other houses, A&M could have a world class Greek system.
