by: :/Ok this is a serious question. Where can I get a refund????? Paid $250 to go through recruitment and ended getting cut. Totally not fair considering the fact they had us starving and practically dying during a heat wave.

at tamu it’s impossible to maximize your options and not get a house. That doesn’t happen here.

Yes, unfortunately it is possible. At this point in rush, “maximizing your options” means attending each of the parties you’ve been invited back to. There are PNM’s who receive no invites to the next round and are therefore released from rush.
The only point in which a PNM is guaranteed a bid is when you attend all of your Pref parties (or only 1 if you have only 1 invitation) and you list all of them on your Pref card and don’t suicide. Only then are you guarantee a bid to one of your Pref houses. Or the 1 if you only are invited to 1 Pref.
OP, my heart breaks for you. Know that not getting a bid is not an indictment on you, your personality, or your worthiness. There are so many amazing organizations to get involved with on campus - and tons specifically for freshmen. You will find your tribe here at A&M, just not the way you planned.

I’m being so honest with y’all right now. I literally maximized all of my options yesterday with my Rho Gamma. I got a call this morning saying I was released from the process. Why?? I don’t know?? I thought all of my conversations went really well. I was complimented on the outfit I was wearing by almost every girl I was talking to. I was even complimented by someone from the recruitment council. So I really thought I was going to get called back by at least one :/ guess I was just too confident idk

I was top ten in my class and I consider myself a pretty friendly person and I never done anything questionable in Highschool and I still got cut by all the houses and I really thought the conversations went good too

I have a good gpa, convos went really well & I was a good girl in high school :) so please give me other reasons.

She may have had so many invitations to Philanthropy that she didn’t have to go back to AOPi or other less selective chapters.

I had 4 houses for philanthropy round and I moved all of them for sisterhood (maxed my options) and even then I was still cut even with AOII being one of the houses
