True but I’d imagine it would be tough for having official events like mixers or anything around campus. I don’t see them falling off too much. But it’s definitely not a good thing.

They’ll be impacted. Imagine a rushee having to convince his parents to pay for a fraternity where the top google results are Texas A&M Fiji death, hazing, and suspended. That’s a PR nightmare. I think they’ll be able to get a class but it won’t be anywhere near what they’d normally get.

The boys that are gunna go Fiji are gunna go figure regardless. They’ll never chose anything else for the most part. They high schools/friends/brothers have all gone Fiji and this won’t change their minds at all. Fiji is still the best house at A&M bar none.

Bro imagine rushing Fiji rn and having to wait 2-3 years for your frat to be able to have tailgates, participate in chilifest, and actually try to be known on campus and have a presence. Fiji doesn't have that, and none of the sororitys will want to try and hang with them, there's just no point. By the time they're back, they would've lost more than half there guys to graduating, it's definitely not worth the dues that they require for all that bs

They can have tailgates? They’ve been having them in historic district for 2 years now anyways. Which I will say are way more fun than the field. All of the girls that have been going to their tailgates will still be going to their tailgates. Y’all dont understand how tight the tridelt, kappa, Fiji group is. They only care about each other. Tridelt and kappa will never stray. Tridelts and kappas have brothers/ family in Fiji, basically only date Fiji’s, have gone to school with the Fiji’s all their lives.

Also, they can do chilliest. They literally did it this year. They just went as “astronomy club,” and they sold just as many tickets as any year before. I would honestly say their build was the best I’ve seen of them in a few years.

They can still have date parties and semi formal and do everything. I went to multiple date parties of theirs this year.

Y’all are speaking on something you know nothing about. They’ve lost literally nothing and when they are allowed to be “back on campus” I’m not convinced they’ll even go back. Imagine choosing to go back on campus when the ONLY benefit is being able to have the name “Fiji” on your shirt during chili fest when everyone knows that “astronomy club” is Fiji. Now, they don’t answer to the university for their events and will never get in trouble for drinking during rush events or anything like that. They will only improve from this situation, mark my words. This is the direction all fraternities are going anyways and soon enough other fraternities will be hoping they can operate in the same way.
