You need recs. Without them, you won’t make it past Day 1 as a sophomore at the majority of houses.

You need to make your rush packets:
-social resume with your school/ community/ social activities from high school and freshman year.
-professional quality looking headshot & full body photos
-transcripts from high school & freshmen year
-clean up all social media. Boys, booze, and strong political/ religious beliefs should be minimized or hidden. You want to come across as cute, fun, interesting and a good friend.

You need to track down 1+ alumna of the sororities on campus here to write your recs. Doesn’t have to be an A&M Theta for example, but a Theta can’t write your DG rec. Ask your mom’s friends, your friend’s moms & older sisters, women you babysat for or worked / volunteered with, teachers, etc. Most sororities do not allow active members to write recs. Do remember to write thank you notes (not texts or emails!) to each woman who kindly and generously writes a rec on your behalf at this extremely late point in summer.

If you have any active friends, so let them know you’re excited to go through rush.

If you can find recs, then start putting together your outfits.

Don't stress. Try and get recs, but it is not the end of the world if you don't have them
