what is the point of this? plenty of us are here because we want to be. if you don’t want to be at this school, be positive and appreciate the fact that you got in. there are plenty of kids that would kill to have your spot.

A&M is an awesome school. Top notch education without the overpriced tuition of Baylor or the crazy living cost of being in Austin. The traditions here are so special and no other school has something like that. The Aggie network is a real thing and tbh I know a lot of people that wanted to go here but just couldn’t make it, so acting like this place is a last resort school for people is just false. I got in to all the schools you listed and still picked this place because there’s just nothing else like it.

I feel like people are giving you a hard time, but what you’re saying is completely valid for your situation. I made good grades, had great test scores, and honestly grew up wanting to go to UT, but because I was only top 10% instead of top 7%, I didn’t get into UT at all. TAMU was my last choice school but here I am. You make the most of it, and hopefully you’ll find people that make being here worth it to you. It’s a great school, and it’s going to be what you make of it. If you really hate it, you can always transfer.

UT was my top choice as well but I didn’t get in. TAMU is a good school but the culture at UT is a better fit for some like myself. Their greek life is better imo, and they have 6th st.
