so, if you did a true Texas tier chart, it would look like:

Different chapters closed at different time for different reasons. A lot of sororities lost chapters in the 1970's.
There are a lot of folks who are going to end up OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS. DG, AXO and Gamma Phi are REALLY strong on the west coast. DDD, ADPi and ZTA, not so much. In the deep south, the opposite is true.

The tiers have to do with more than what chapters are closed (and you only included A&M sororities). You have to look at the strength of the chapters that are opened, not whether some have closed. AXO's chapters are all middle tier, whereas XO and Zeta have more high tier chapters, and you completely forgot Tri Delt.

Is a powerhouse nationally with the only exception being the Western US probably. They are strong in the Midwest/Northeast but are best in the South. Zeta tends to have a lot of middle of the pack chapters outside the South, and ADPi tends to be present at most top academic schools.
