legacy
by: helpi am a double legacy to a house at A&M but i have heard other houses will cut legacies a lot first round because they assume they will go their legacy house. is this true? and if so, do i need to up front tell the other houses that i am rushing with an open mind first round?

My sophomore sister will also be rushing but her rush is a week before mine and at her school there are a lot of similar houses. Let’s say she gets KD, since she has not been initiated, I am not a legacy right? Can I still tell girls during rush that my sister just got a house from a different school and would that still affect me getting dropped? Because the house she’s most likely going to get is a top house here and I literally don’t know anyone there and all my friends are in a middle tier so I’m nervous that they’ll drop me because of that :/

Also I forgot to mention I too was a double leg and thankfully it worked out really incredibly well for me but if you are not at all interested in joining that sorority do not get your mom and grandmother to fill out the form. Other sororities do tend to drop legacies to other houses.

there would literally be NO reason for that to come up unless someone you know in one of the houses knows your sister and they bring it up. also, if all your friends are in a house why in the world would the drop you? im sure if they’re your good friends they know you wouldn’t go another sorority just because your sister did
