That's not dirty rushing. Dirty rushing is breaking silence, discussing other houses, hot boxing, bid promising, it means violating panhellenic rules. If someone's following you then you just be thankful they are interested and you make sure all your social media is clean.

I’m really having trouble figuring out what exactly this supposed budget for dirty rushing would buy...isn’t it free to follow people on Instagram and reach out to girls?? Am I wrong??

technically yes it is free, but if a pnm chose to report it they would be fined. at this time, following girls you’ve never met and especially reaching out is considered breaking silence. also, they dirty rush during recruitment week too

If you've got a problem with a sorority dirty rushing then turn them in. Otherwise this is just a jealous post from worried actives to slam certain houses that rush well. These posts won't hurt those houses at all and won't help yours either. If you want to rush better then up your game.

I would hardly consider reciving an oral bid from a house and getting dropped the next round “rushing well.” I would just call that an unfair mind game

PNM's think that when an active says that they hope they see you tomorrow or that they really loved talking to you and feel that you could be friends or whatever that it's a bid promise. It's not. Naturally you are bitter because you got dropped but it is their job to be gracious and make you feel liked. That IS rushing well.

The girl didn’t say either of those things. She told me what to wear on bid day and that she would probably be my big. And then the next day I had a bid from the other house I had on pref

they might have gotten fined. i turned in a house to Panhellenic last year for dirty rushing me but one of my rho gammas told me its hard to prove it and a lot of girls will claim a certain house was dirty rushing during recruitment just because theyre mad they got dropped
