by: Stolen from LSUListen girls- from the view of someone in a sorority and with friends and all of the others sororities the real way to rush and end up somewhere that makes you happy is to go through each house with an open mind and heart and pick the place that you feel most comfortable at. Honestly, if a sorority refers to themselves as "Top Tier" then generally the atmosphere and vibe of that sorority is snobby and stuck up. BUT forget what you have heard about each one and base your opinions off of the experience you have in each house. That is the best way to find where you belong.. ALSO a lot of nicknames mean absolutely nothing and are picked based off the fact they rhyme- ez dz, deltagrandmaws, pi high, phi mooo, chi hoe, etc... Lastly- letters of rec are vital to your role in rushing! Get one for EVERY house to guarantee your invite back! Enjoy your time rushing ladies! Just don't forget to be open minded and find where you belong! These are the years you're suppose to find your life long friends! Pick the sorority where you see yourself and feel free to be who ever you are! Much love- a sorority SISTER

Also, most of the "top" houses already have their pledge classes picked out. If you don't know many people in that house, and/or you are not a big time legacy, you need to think about other options. Good luck and be on your best behavior. Most sorority women have friends in other houses. If you are rude in one house, believe he whole row will know. Good luck!

some houses do have their PC's picked out before recruitment even starts so if you are not super close with a lot of the girls already in a house chances are you will not get a place... but there are so many great hosues that should not matter... just go with your heart when you cut a house.
