tamu culture/party/greek life scene

by: TheKid

Looking into Texas A&M as a school in the future, however from what I hear it’s not the move lively school as far as partying and nightlife. Is College Station really that boring? Also, will I have a solid experience with Greek Life? I heard it’s not as big as other schools and is somewhat suppressed by the university. Lastly, being an OOS student how will I fair in the community of Texas A&M and the tradition. I heard it’s either hit or miss with the tradition/culture of A&M. Everyone seems to have such a great time and I haven’t heard of a single Aggie who didn’t love their school, just being an OOS I hope it’s the same for me. Thanks

The top frats at TAMU are equivalent to the middle tier frats at other in state schools like Texas Tech, TCU, etc.

It’s not a Go Greek or Go Home school but Greek life is still fun and big here. House parties or Northgate is where it’s at. It’s not too crazy like Alabama but not too lame as Texas State
