Do top houses take juniors going through recruitment, or is it too late?

To be honest, if you are going through recruitment with ridiculous tiers in mind, you will probably have a disappointing experience. Being Greek is a fantastic experience that you can take with you your entire life. Most houses are looking for freshman for their formal fall new member classes because freshman will be there 4 years. However, if you have lots of connections and friends in a house it can help your chances. The biggest piece of advice I can give you is to go in with an open mind. There is no way to know what a "top house" FOR YOU is until you walk into their doors and talk to their members. Nobody cares about tiers once you are in a chapter and getting to know your fabulous new sisters.

Lastly, if you are so lucky to get a bid to one of the 12 A&M houses, jump in and get involved in your house. Make it a better place and form lifelong friendships. Sorority experiences are what YOU make of them. It can either be the beginning of a lifelong support network or just a blip on your screen. You will want it to be the former, I promise. Good Luck!

If you have to come to greek rank to ask a dumb question like this then you obviously don't have the connections for a "top house." As a junior you'd be lucky to get a bid anywhere.
