get a grip

It's sad seeing everyone bash other houses. A top tier sorority at A&M would be bottom tier at UT or any other school in the SEC--quit thinking you're better than anyone else. No wonder A&M has a weak greek system--clearly you need to work on your class

Is crazy! The three best school in Texas are Rice, A and M and UT. It is harder to get on those colleges than most in other states. Rice does not have a Greek system that leaves UT and A and M. UT is an older system but not better. The quality of the sororities keeps getting better at A and M.

A&M is an excellent school but most of the best students don't go greek so the greek system isn't as strong as it could be. Hopefully this will change.

To break it to you, but yeah UT's Greek system is better by quite a bit, SMU and Tech also have you guys beat, you're probably getting close to TCU.

The quality of girls at A&M is so much better then those at Tech it is a laugh to even compare them...

the quality of girls at A&M is very high but its just not really popular to be Greek like it is at other SEC schools, UT or even Tech

Clearly you are not in touch current sorority life at A&M it is growing every year and had almost as many girls going thru recruitment this past fall as UT.

Think you could easily pass Tech in the near future especially since you can actually live in the houses and stuff, but SMU has the really insular traditional Greek system that is almost like something out of top SEC schools and UT is just a monster with almost 130 years of Greek tradition. These are far and away the two elite Greek schools in the state, but honestly A&M is a sleeper that has risen really fast and will probably be elite in relatively short time.

Go to Texas but I like all the Greeks I've met from A&M and they'd generally fit in just fine in our GLO's, and great job in the SEC by the way, I was sure you were going to get hammered and you stepped up your game, figure the move won't hurt y'all's Greek life any either.

someone who is not even in Texas worried about A and M? I am not going to try to comment on the quality of other sororities at other schools, but your comments are bogus. UT does have a great Greek group, but there are huge number of people there who would never consider joining a sorority. The same at A and M. That has nothing to do with the quality of girls who go through recruitment. Over the years, A and M has changed and more people going here are interested in joining a sorority. I think it is somewhat harder for fraternities. The are many long established and great men's organizations.

I wouldn't say SMU has a strong greek system because they only have like 7 or 8 sororities

Assure you SMU has a very strong Greek system, second only UT in Texas. If you think the number of sororities they have changes that then you're a bit confused.

Everyone knows the best greek life in the state of Texas are UT, SMU, TCU, TTU. A&M sit down and enjoy being a bottom tier greek life school along with SHSU, Texas State, and SFA.

By: UT Greek sorority

I just think this comment is sad. Even if you are at a different chapter at UT, SMU, TCU, or even Tech, you still have sisters at A&M, SHSU, Texas State, and SFA. I don't understand why you have to have such an attitude about it. Students are very involved at A&M, and it just so happens that a lot of them choose to get involved elsewhere. We are a very much well rounded university.

Haha at throwing A&M in the same sentence as SHSU. A&M has the 5th best Greek system in the state (better than Baylor), and to act like Texas State, SFA and A&M, of whom A&M is easily the best Greek school are bottom tier Greek life is ridiculous. A&M, Baylor, Texas State and SFA are the middle tier Greek life if such a thing exists. The bottom tier would be schools like UTA, UTD, UTSA, UH, SHSU, WTAMU, UTEP, etc. I sincerely hope your not actually from UT.
