The girls at Ole Miss from Texas are public school party girls with low gpas, girls at A&M have higher standards and academics,

most of the Texas kids who went to Ole Miss also got big scholarships. Probably not that hard to do, but still. They're probably not the same caliber who get into A&M, UT and SMU for the most part, but I'd assume they're not that dumb either. Ole Miss also has a great Greek system.

I have to agree - girls from my HS were deciding between Tx State and Ole Miss, not academic at all, just wanted a party school with greek life

This entire thread is ridiculous!! EVERY SINGLE SORORITY HAS STRONG & WEAK CHAPTERS DEPENDING UPON THE SCHOOL, REGION, ETC. Mizzou is now an SEC school and KD & Zeta are last resort sororities there. Theta & Kappa are ok, involved, but known for having boring, unattractive girls. TriDelt, Gamma Phi & Pi Phi have the "hot", outgoing girls at Mizzou. ChiO is strong academically but has large girls and for some strange reason, ADPi has a lesbian/butchy reputation at MU. AGD folded and has never been able to come back & AChiO has really nice girls & great sisterhood-becoming more popular.

Kd is top three at uga and Virginia and university of maryland and kd is better than dg at ole miss. Really kd is the sorority of the south they are also top at vanderbelt I am not sure why they where not listed.

Top at Vandy is Theta (Southern), Kappa (Northern), and Tri-Delt (mix). KD is upper mid with Chi O and Pi Phi -- also very Northern and tends to get Kappa's leftovers.

I have to say kd is the best sorority from lousiana and now arkansas up to Virginia and penn state and university of Miami in ohio. They really are southern royalty and I heard that the texas tech chapter won sorority of the year and dean's cup. They are also top tier at university of kansas and kansas state. They will eventually become top tier in texas as well

I heard the exact same stuff about ADPi from the woman who wrote my rec. She said that once A&M entered the SEC, their nationals put into place a long-term plan to bring it up to South Carolina/ Tennessee standards. That they were re-colonizing at Ole Miss and nationals wanted a super-chapter at each SEC univ, that's why they were re-building at Arkansas too. She said some of the A&M alums aren't happy about the chapter going in that direction but it will happen.
