Zeta didn't get quota?
So who had better then expected rushes? If you add them to tri dealt and chi o not many of top houses seem to have had great weeks? That's a question, not a statement.

According to Instagram zeta got 79 but good try and quota was less than that so they made quota.

bigger chapters are required to cut more girls every round, so by the end of it they have a lot of really great but overlapping girls who can only end up in one place. for example, if zeta had 100 girls come back on pref, but 60 of those girls also still had DG and AXO and 30 of those girls preffed AXO and DG over zeta, then zeta gets 70. had they been allowed to take more girls back on pref, there could have been another 20 who wouldn't have preffed another house and ended up in zeta, making a pc of 90

not saying this is what happened..just explaining how you can still have a good pc even if its small

They were thinking that 80% chapter rooms are already too small.

If anyone thinks that adding another sorority chapter will dramatically decrease PC size, they're wrong. At most, it'll only reduce the size by 10 each, which isn't that much in the long run.

The only way it would help would be if PC17 would be smaller than PC 13 which they would be replacing. And I don't really see that happening.

Here's how it works...the system takes into account how large the chapter already is and how the pnms preffed. So the fact that KD and tri delta have pcs in he low 80s means they have bigger chapters whereas pi phi and dz needs extra members to catch up to some of the bigger chapters.

Pi Phi actually has one of the larger chapters. The reason they got so many girls was because they were popular on pref and did better than their competition.

DZ I will admit has a smaller chapter size.

Tri Delta and KD had a bit of an off year compared to their past years. Nothing bad, just that others did better.

So I actually know numbers they report to panhellenic and pi phi is not one of the biggest chapters. The way the OP described it isn't completely right but it's pretty darn close. Recruitment is all a numbers game and depends on a chapters RFM (release figure method) numbers which take multiple things into account. Once pnms realize recruitment is just numbers the process is a lot easier
