If you know girls getting calls, where are they being offered a bid to?
And to the previous poster, you are right. I know several girls who had DDD/XO in their final and didn't pref them.

um no, snap bids only happen when a chapter doesn't make quota. They can call and offer bids on girls that are available and get up to quota.

Yes, only chapters that have not made quota can snap and it all generally happens in a few hours and no one needs to make a big deal of it.
And most chapters generally don't make quota due to a few girls falling through through the cracks as I mentioned earlier. RFM is not perfect.

This is the dumbest comment on this site today. And that's saying something. I don't care who you are, you don't have any idea who is snapping. Only a couple people in each house know, and you don't know about 5 houses. It's done so quickly and so quietly, 98% of the sorority won't even know it happened.
Don't make a dumb comment for the simple fact of promoting the "top 5" because that doesn't exist, except on this site.

bigger chapters weren't allowed to take as many girls so smaller chapters could grow. we were only allowed 85 max

At A&M the quota is the same for everyone. The only school I can think of that has a wildly different quota for chapters is Arkansas and Indiana University where their situation is really different because of the way their housing works.
Here though, there's not really a reason to do that. Maybe like 4 years ago at ADPi but that shouldn't be true today. If DZ got 90 members in their PC it's because a ton of girls put them as #1 on their pref card and got added as quota additions. Congratulations DZ! I heard that a ton of girls liked their energy this recruitment season!

QA's try to give PNM's their #1 choice, but it is also balanced with trying to keep relatively even house sizes. So DZ could have gotten that many QA's because they are a smaller house OR because more PNM's that didn't match ranked them 1st. Only a small handful of people know which is true and it's not anyone posting on GR....
