trust the system ????
by: Sad PNMOkay so I am in the rush process and I am struggling to understand this whole system and process.. Do the girls in the sorority even have a say in who comes back to attend these parties or is it all a part of a system ?
#4by: yes
Girls in the chapter have a "say" as do alumni in some ways. The actual inner workings are all confidential to the sorority and not public knowledge.
As long as you haven't been released from recruitment, there is no reason to be sad! Greek life at A&M is awesome and it only takes one chapter to offer you a bid. Chin up. Focus on the chapters that still want you. They see something in you that would fit in their group! Remember, you have only spent a small fraction of time meeting women in these amazing houses.

They really should explain it better. PNM's can rank but at the end of the days the houses choose. Someone else explained it in detail above. Also, if you made someone mad they could derail you with the committee. That's why you shouldn't party in college until you actually get to college.

Ladies, everyone...and I mean EVERYONE, gets cut from a house they think they love during recruitment. If you become negative because you've been believing the tent talk and dumb ranking on here...then go ahead and drop and be a GDI. Every house at A&M is awesome. You would be Greek in the SEC. It's a big deal. If you are open-minded, trust the system and you will be having a blast at bid day tomorrow.

They can only decide the order in which they rank the girls after pref night. So if quota is expected to be around 80, they put their ideal pledge class of their favorite 80 girls at the top of the list and rest go in ranks (usually decided by scores from the week). Then the system (aka an algorithm) does the work to compare what chapters want versus what girls want and assigns bids that way
