Do not let these reviews impact your selection. All of the sororities are different and have different aspects that make them strong. Do not let someone feel bad about which sororities you like and would want to join. Remember that this is about you and the girls you will be associated with for the next 4+ years. Just join the sorority that you feel the most comfortable in, thats ultimately what it comes down to. No one cares about 'tiers' after you graduate, even actives do not really care.
