by: PNMI'm about to go through recruitment this fall and I don't care so much about ranks as much as I do whether chapters are improving or going down hill. So in y'alls opinions, which chapters are getting better and which chapters are getting worse? I'd obviously rather be part of an organization that is improving, regardless of where they stand now.

I have a problem w this..I understand wanting to join an org on the up and up..but the extent to which a sorority can improve is based on where they stand now. The sororities in the top tier would not be considered improving, as they are already great chapters but (although they hold strong positions) find it hard to improve since they are already holding at peak. That being said..DG has room to move up and I think they will..KD is also moving up..and ADPi is getting better as well. If you're going for something that in 25 years when your kids come through is good I honestly think it would still be those in the top tier (maybe w the exclusion of Zeta since I feel like there could be a scandal of some sort). This school is heavy on tradition, I wouldn't disregard the big name sororities here just because they've already made it

Used to be top two for sure. Zeta, Tri Delta, and Pi Phi were next in no real order. Then theta. DG is actually pretty new and since they aren't that strong in Texas, I have a hard time believing they will ever go much higher or even stay where they are. I think Pi Phi, Chi O, and maybe Theta could go up bc they are so strong in most Texas schools and have good reputations here. My opinion of course

Tri Delt will continue to be the most desired sorority by PNMs this upcoming year, but I'd say that Kappa is with them at the top because although Kappa doesn't appeal to everyone, lots do like them, and they always get the girls they want.
In years past, I'd say that Zeta would join them, but I think some of Zeta's top girls are getting stolen by DG, so I think DG will rise and Zeta will fall a little bit and they'll end up equalizing in a mini-tier below Tri Delta and Kappa.
I don't really see XO rising in the coming years until they can take some desired PNMs from Tri Delta and/or Kappa, but I really don't see that happening anytime soon. If anything, I think they might start competing with Pi Phi for PNMs. XO has a kind of snobby and unlikable reputation and Pi Phi is known as the nice girls. They both go for the academic, sort of safe and "boring" but not anti-social wealthier girls.
I could actually see Pi Phi going either up or down. They could either steal some PNMs that XO wants, or they could get some of the PNMs they want stolen by Theta. If Theta starts picking up PNMs that XO or Pi phi want then they'll rise out of the socially awkward image they have going on. AXO I see as staying pretty flat. They've always been the place for girls from suburbs and smaller towns who are good PNMs but don't want to deal with the competitive nature of Zeta/DG and aren't super academic like XO/Pi Phi/Theta. I don't see them stealing or losing any PNMs in the coming years.

Like every year in the past 5 or so has seen the sororities get more and more "level" as far as tiers go. There aren't the big gaps like decades ago. Sure, each house has their own personality, but I would say all are close to total/over total, have tons of events, and lots of great sisterhoods. You really can't go wrong this recruitment. A&M is on the brink of having a really strong Greek system if the houses continue to support one another.
Be the one new member that joins everyone in your class together and makes the sorority stronger. Wear letters while looking decent, meet for lunch/study breaks, attend philanthropy events, attend fraternity events, get together at your house for TV nights, etc.
