rushing as a junior....
by: PNMWhat are the chances of me getting into any sorority at all as a junior??? I am blonde and like to be social on the weekends and have tons of friends who are athletes. I really want to try to get into Zeta if at all possible but also want to be realistic. Any advice???
#1by: Go Greek
Junior rush can be quite difficult if you don't have a ton of in-house connections pulling for you or if you don't have a "wow" resume highlighting a lot of on-campus involvement and leadership. If your GPA is below 3.5ish, expect big cuts. Hopefully you have recs for every house on file.
Last, if you are serious about wanting to be Greek and aren't just going through rush as an audition for Zeta, you need to be open to finding your home in ALL houses. Expect big cuts as a junior but if you stick with it and genuinely want to be Greek, you have a good chance of finding a home in one of our great houses.

Unless you've got a ton of connections and have like a super stellar gpa and lots of involement you probably still won't get ZTA or any of the "top" houses simply because you're a junior. It doesn't matter how awesome you are the fact is most houses will cut you solely based on the fact that you are a junior. I know it sucks but it's just how it is so be prepared to be cut from a lot because of that.
HOWEVER that doesn't mean you'll get cut from all houses and you WILL still be able to find a great house for you if you've got a high GPA and involvement.
Going through as a junior is rough so just keep an open mind and have realistic expectations! To
