How much will being a legacy help me with DG?

If you're cute and have a great personality that fits well with the chapter, it will help a good bit. DG doesn't seem to have as many legacies going through as ChiO / DDD/ KKG / PiPhi/ Theta and they came on campus after the original houses did so I don't think the alumnae are old enough to have daughters going through as chapter legacies yet.

All DG legacies get a bid unless there are extreme circumstances. It's part of their national policy

That's actually not true at all. But I will say DG's national policy is to give special consideration to legacies as they come into recruitment already having a special connection to the sorority. The only "guarantees" for DG legacies are an invitation to Round 2 and being on the first bid list IF the legacy attends pref.
