should i rush?!

Howdy! I will be a sophomore in the fall, I am a geoscience major with about a 3.6 gpa! I have always thought about rushing a fraternity but I didn't my first year because I wanted to focus on school and the transition, and I had a lot of friends from high school already at TAMU! I am looking to branch out more and get more involved at A&M as well as in the community. I hope to apply to law school eventually, so I figured being in a fraternity couldn't hurt my résumé? I'm always down for a good party, but I don't want my grades to suffer too much... Any advice on if I should rush? If so, any advice on which fraternity could work for me? Thanks and gig'em!
