big 5 sororities
by: stop arguingevery post on here has KKG DDD DG CHI O and ZETA listed as the top 5, just the order varies. depending on who you ask they will be in different order, so lets just all agree these are the top 5 houses and the order will vary depending on who you ask but these are the ones everyone will consider the top

Why not a top 3? Everyone agrees Tri Delta, KKG, and Zeta are top three. Those are the three everyone wants.
Oh...I know why DG and maybe Chi O are dying to be called top.
Honestly though If someone doesn't get into those they end up happy in Chi O, DG, Pi Phi
If they don't get in those six it is AXO or Theta ....again they end up happy
Etc.

Pi Phi is no where near the same as CHi O and DG. DG and CHI O are wayyyyy better than pi phi

A huge majority of girls in zeta DG and chio were cut by Tridelt and kappa. That's the difference! I have never met a zeta DG or chio who had the option of chosing kappa or Tridelt and didn't. I'm sure it happens but verrrryyyyyyy irregularly. And Tridelts and kappas almost always has a choice between the "top 5" and still pick Tridelt or kappa every time. So yes DG chio and zeta are awesome houses but stop saying they're just as good as Tridelt and kappa when that's simply not the case.

True. Kappa and Tri Delt get top picks during recruitment. But I get the feeling that this is largely because they have the reputation of being top houses and try extremely hard to reinforce this, both in person and online. When you're a high school girl coming into college not knowing anything and have only had a short time to get to know anyone in any of the sororities, why would you pick anything other than what is supposedly "the best"?
Girls will always choose DDD and KKG over others. But you'll also notice that a very large portion of them will end up regretting it or feeling like another house would've been a better fit. Not trying to bag on Kappa and Tri Delt, great sororities, but I've met a very large portion of girls in those sororities who constantly mention not liking their sisters, the way their sorority operates, or wishing they'd gone somewhere else. On the other hand, I have seen very little of that in other sororities here, even the so called "lower tier" ones

Considering I'm in one of those house I'm going to have to disagree because I've never heard of a sister wishing they were in a different sorority or complain about our sisterhood. I'm sure you've hear one or two girls from Tridelt or kappa say that, because that's inevitable that girls will complain. But don't act like most the girls in our chapter end up hating it. Because that's simple not the case. And for every girl you've heard wishing they had gone something else I've heard as many in each other sorority saying the same thing. It's not isolated to Tridelt and kappa, it's just girls being girls.

a lot of people don't think zeta is top. id even put dg before zeta. and you're dense if you say that a girl would 100% rather end up in kkg ddd or zeta over dg or xo....they are all such good houses that girls come in wanting ALL of those..and dont lump dg and xo with piphi...
