While 2.5 is the minimum GPA to register for rush, most chapters cut the vast majority of upperclassmen PNM's who are have below a 3.0. A GPA in the 2.8 range is considered a "grads risk" - you'd need to be a big-time legacy, have a ton of friends in a house, or drop-dead gorgeous for a house to take a risk on a bid. With a 2.5, it's not even worth going through rush. I doubt you'd even have one invitation past the Open House round.
The all-sorority GPA is close to 3.2 and several houses are in the 3.4 range. Anyone rushing with below a 3.2 should expect to be cut from at least a few houses for grades.

what sorority are you in lol and I'm an engineering major. my Gpa will be a 2.78 when I rush
