They weren't always bottom house though. 4 or 5 years ago they were usually talked about in the same category as KD/GPB, maybe even with an edge over them. They've just had a few questionable members whose actions have blown up and been made visible throughout the Greek community, which has really damaged them. And then there was the whole DZ putting an end to fraternity rush parties thing which really knocked them down a peg when it comes to popularity with other greeks

My eldest sister was here 6 years ago. DZ actually used to be equal or higher than AXO. They were known to party too, but were known to have prettier girls. But then starting around late 2013/2014 (their junior/senior pledge class) they picked up some hot but risky girls. And they've been kind of unlucky along with not really keeping a tight rein on their girls' private lives. But 3/4 of the girls are normal sorority girls - like everyone else has said.

Nationally, DZ is a well known sorority.

DZ is big nationally as in they have a lot of chapters and members. They exist everywhere, but there's very few schools where they're considered a strong sorority, and the few schools where they are good are really weak schools

You consider LSU, Florida State, Auburn, etc to be weak schools? Huh...

DZ isn't top tier at a single one of those schools...the only one where they're even much good is LSU and yeah that's a pretty garbage university

They were never above AXO but there was a point when they were mentioned as being almost on the same level. DZ actually used to be a decent mid tier sorority, and they had some pretty strong relations with some really good fraternities, like Sig Ep and SAE. It's only a recent thing that they've gone so far downhill. Like an above comment said, it was really just 2013-2014 that did it to them. Their junior class let in quite a few girls who really screwed up their reputation, though I think a lot of them got kicked out. Their sophomore class though just followed the trend and I'm pretty sure the bad apples are still around. Just goes to show how a few people can make a huge difference

They have a better pledge class this year and some good ones that are in the older classes. A lot have left, but of course, there's always a few left over. I think they'll get it together. They have some great things going for them.

Agreed that their freshman pledge class is actually really good. Things are looking up for DZ in that regard. Unfortunately, historically a lot of their best quality members tend to drop each year, and I know for sure that at least 3 of the infamous "psychos" from their sophomore class are still around and kicking. It really shouldn't bring down the reputation of the sorority by that much but it does

You have made my previous point that those big names automatically attract attention. If I missed Pi Phi and Theta, it's mainly bc even though they are a big name, they are not as popular at A&M like they were a few years back.
