I would add Tri Delt and DG to top grades, if you look at the fall and spring grade, the three chapters mentioned and these two were in the top five both semesters, just changing places from semester to semester

I think you should add a commitment to philanthropy category (raising funds and hands on volunteer hours to their philanthropy)....and I think almost ever group on campus should be honored in this area

I agree with you mostly but I think Phi Mu is more involved on campus than a phi. I never really see a phi doing anything with LSU. And I also think DZ should be moved down one in front of Phi Mu. I definitely think they've become an amazing sorority but I don't necessarily think they're top tier yet.

And I agree with @academics that a philanthropy category would be good to add. I do agree that every group works hard to raise money for their philanthropy but personally I think the ones that do the most are: DZ, tri delt, and zeta

KD does a lot of hands on stuff with their philanthropy (St. Patrick's parade fund raiser, Girls on the Run, Girls Scouts) and so does DG (they do a lot with the kids at the blind school off campus and I went to their Fan Day event as a guest, so I would rank them high because of how they work with the kids at the school). The Chi O tie dye tshirt event was fun. DDD definately donates a ton of money to St. Jude and the Miss LSU pageant that DZ puts on is a great event. I think the LSU sororities do a great job of supporting their causes.

"i never see a phi doing anything with LSU" literally the most false statement on this website, can't count how many times they're in free speech alley supporting a cause, raising awareness, and always handing out some kind of free food/desserts

@lol wut - Yes I understand that but that's usually them doing that for either the support of their own philanthropy or their sorority itself. Are they involved in Ambassadors, golden girls/tiger girls/LSU cheer, student government, Reveille, and all of the other clubs at LSU? Maybe, but I do not see them participating in LSU clubs as much as other sororities. I just stated my opinion, no need to be rude. We're all entitled to our own thoughts.

@philanthropy - I definitely agree with KD being strong with their philanthropy, I forgot to mention them. I didn't realize DG did so much so that is a really great thing to know. Like I said I think every sorority does a great job with their philanthropy, my original comment was just my opinion
on who I saw do the most respectively.

@well yes... Alpha Phi has girls that are ambassadors, golden girls, girls involved in clubs, ect... Not trying to be rude, just do a little more investigation before you try to say that they're not involved or well-rounded

@lol wut - I never said that they weren't well rounded...not sure where you got that from. I know that there's some involved girls in a phi, but all I said was that I see other sororities and more girls from other sororities that are more involved with LSU.

I think philanthropy is a good category to add, but also a tricky one. Some sororities have huge philanthropies (st Jude, children's miracle network...) while others have smaller/local ones(CASA, service for site). So the sororities with bigger philanthropies usually get a bigger turn out/bigger donations bc people see a charity that they have seen their whole lives and are willing to help out. When it's a lesser known philanthropy it's harder to get people to donate. So think of philanthropy as how much the sorority gets involved, NOT how much money they raise. Just to make it fair

I agree DZ is one of the most supportive of their philanthropy but they are not in the same tier as KD, Chi O and Tri Delt. They are a fantastic sorority but these tiers have been soild for almost a decade it will take a lot more to move them up. Downvote me all you want DZ but it's the truth

Not a DZ, but can say that tri delt is no longer top tier. I think the whole of the Greek community agrees with that. So, with that being said who should move into top tier? Makes sense just to move DZ up, but maybe keep them upper mid until they've proven themselves?

@! I totally agree, and I am also not a DZ. Tri-delt has declined while DZ has shown improvement. Give it time. Things are already starting to change around here.

A Phi is definitely up and coming, especially with their new house.. Gonna be beautiful... Pretty, fun (but smart), party girls who are thoroughly involved in their sisterhood and philanthropy
