by: ughI am so nervous for sorority rush. Like how many girls dont get bids

Last year there were like 1200 or 1100 girls, or something like that, that started out at rush, and 100 of those girls didn't get bids BUT the majority of those girl dropped from rush throughout the week because the sorority they wanted cut them. They would've gotten bids from another great sorority (because lets face it, all the sororities on LSU are amazing) On actual bid day, only one girl that I know of didn't get an actual bid and its because she suicided (meaning she only put one sorority on her contract thing when she had 1 or 2 other sororities that she went through preference round with) So my advice, if you want a bid and want to become a part of LSU's amazing greek life, then stick it out through rush even if you get dropped from a sorority you love (because honestly its better to be in greek life than to not be in it at all) and don't suicide on pref night!! Put all the sororities you pref with on your contract in the order you want them. Even though it sounds cheesy, you really do end up where you belong. Or if you really don't feel like you fit in any of the sororities you pref with, drop before you sign the contract on pref night (because then you can't rush until the next fall rush) and go through spring rush, but I'm warning you not every sorority participates in it.
