sorority comments

this is where the jealousy kicks in. truth is the girls in top 5 are naturally pretty girls, who do come from fortunate families and live privileged lifestyles, who are active and athletic, and make good grades and have their whole lives. who are involved and popular. but you know what? that doesn't mean that they aren't funny, cool, nice, caring, religious, people that deserve the same respect you ask for yourself. seriously, if you were content with your lives you wouldn't care about theirs

Is the person who repeats the gossip any better than the one that starts it?

You either aren't smart enough to understand or are willfully ignorning what the point was. I'm done with you superior girls. Is the person who repeats the nasty names any better than the one who originally said it? Honestly I don't care what you think, I'm in one of the "lesser" sororites so I'm not worth your time anyway. Why are you even bothering to converse with me and what do you care what I say or think? You're secure in your place so why are you bothering? It's all about jealousy right? So why are you even bothering?

Stop trying. If you were content in your sorority you would care. I have friends in all other nine sororities who are great. I'm a smart and genuine and caring person who has lots of great friends. My sorority doesn't define me. Yes I'm in one of the ones y'all keep calling the top five but when I see a girl I don't look at their letters. I'm not stuck up and I refuse to let other girls put me in any category. I love all the sororities and I think each one is awesome for different reasons. Let's pull together and stop the negativity!

the top 5 probably don't leave those mean comments. why would they need to? it makes more sense that the lower houses are doing it back and forth to each other, fighting for that "#6" spot, just so they won't slip into "the bottom". which is sad because i mean it when i say, every sorority here, "top" or "bottom" is wonderful and strong and filled with remarkable girls. but i do think its the sororities that are perceived as lower in the rankings doing the bad comments. whether that is so they can climb up closer to the top, or they just don't want to feel dead last..idk

No way that the "lower tier" is leaving the mean ratings. It is a fact that when Phi Mu got ranked #1, the gloves came off and their site was filled with hateful comments. Why would anyone but someone who use to be ranked #1 write those things? If a group has normally been ranked below 5, why would they care if Phi Mu moved from #2 to #1??? When DZ moved up into the top 5, wow, the hate started again, things like "get back down where you belong." Really, why would someone already below 5 make those comments???

You can't say the top 5 are doing it either. It's EVERYONE not a specific group.

Well, if this site had been in existance when you went to LSU BELIEVE ME you would have known. It's really frustrating that some of these girls are so invested in who's "top tier". You're absolutely right, the things you do while you're here at LSU should be what's important and what defines you, not your letters.

This has all made me rethink my decision to rush. I don't have the connections or come from the type of background that would assure me a spot in the "top five". I sure don't want to spend four years having my reputation bashed and being looked down upon by a bunch of other girls, who needs that. I've never been in a situation where other people were considered superior to me, and I can imagine that doesn't feel very comfortable. I think my friends who were thinking about rushing should probably take a look at this too.
