sorority comments

You guys are the ones who keep separating the sororities. Just because I am in what yall are saying is a top 5 sorority doesn't mean I don't have sisterhood and genuine girls as my sisters. I love my sorority so much and wouldn't change it if it was number 1 or number 10. Throughout rush, I'm sure plenty of girls cut my "top" sorority. Everyone has to cut everyone eventually to get the one they want. Stop trying to pretend any sorority has a better sisterhood because they are or aren't top 5. It's ridiculous and you are spreading hate by doing so

Nobody is saying the other sororities have a better sisterhood, I don't know where you're getting that from. What girls are saying is they are sick of the whole top five thing. That's what's causing the division... sorry

It boggles my mind to realize that you girls in the top five cannot understand how that could possibly offend someone. Are you really that insensitive that you can't understand that? Then you have the nerve to turn around and say the rest of us are spreading the hate? You have a serious self awareness problem.

Whoever kept posting on the DG page that Louisiana people are not educated, and that the top 5 keep putting everyone else down (which I doubt they really are), you just put down a whole state! You're no better than anyone who puts down other sororities.

I read those posts, and I have an entirely different take on that. What I got out of that is that she was trying to get the girls who keep posting about how the "top five" are so much better and more desired than the rest of us to see how bad it feels to be told you're not as good as others. It's probably just as offensive to the girls in the "lower tiers" to be told over and over again that they weren't good enough as is it for you to hear about how Louisiana doesn't measure up in some rankings. It is fact on here that the "top five" do post mean things like "don't flatter yourself" "ha ha you're bottom" and "never have been top tier and never will be" to name just a few. If you could open you're mind for just one minute and see how that might upset someone just as much as it upsets you to hear bad things about Louisiana, you might end up learning something. That's my take on it anyway.

It's called play "devil's advocate". Trying to get someone to rethink their position by arguing the opposing side. I think you're right about that.

I completely agree with you, but you'll never get some of the girls in those sororities to give it up. They were raised to think that way, apparently it's a "high" class southern thing. Who knew??

Nobody is saying they are nicer because of the sorority the're in. Where are you getting that from? All anybody wants is to be treated equally. Nobody is any better or any worse. What you just said was hypocriticial and rude if you want to know the truth.

It's SOOO frustrating. The real problem is this website. Why should we be ranking each other at all? It's set up so that it's a competition. That is NOT a good thing.
