sorority comments

theres nothing wrong with self-ranking. everyone does it and yes it is a GOOD thing to be proud of your sorority. the all 1's are NOT necessary. if you don't like a sorority, don't rank it. just rank the ones you do with all 5's. it will change the rankings, just the same. you don't have to drag someone else down just because you're upset or feeling threatened. ok? this website isn't real anyway. and people that think it's ok to rag on the perceived "top tier" just because they are "top tier" is not alright either. no one is immune to this. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY UNHAPPY PEOPLE THAT THEY FEEL THEY HAVE TO ACT LIKE THIS? it is not making you any better of a person. really. its not.

when i went through rush i was cut by both KD and DDD, i'm from out of state and didn't really know many people. I'm completely happy in my sorority and love my sisterhood, but i do think those are the two most people consider "the best". not that it matters though. you find a place where you're happy. and should focus on that

That's funny that you say that because I'm from out of state too and after ice water I cut DDD, KD, and Phi Mu because I had no idea they were the "top" and I didn't click at all with the girls that rushed me. I ended up loving a middle tier sorority that I didn't even know was considered middle tier until I found this website.

This whole discussion of who is and who's not top tier is ridiculous. Like the poster below said, I didn't know anything about them and immediately knew that I liked one of the houses you consider middle tier the most when I went through rush. I cut some of the top tier, and a few of them cut me. I really don't have any issue with any of those houses. I do think that if you point blank say you won't take any out of state girls, you're missing out on some really top rate girls that you would probably want otherwise. That's just your loss and some of the other houses' gain. I'm really tired of the whole discussion though, why does it matter? It might make the girls in the top houses feel good, but it's at the expense of others. It just doesn't seem necessary to me.

I've decided to take the positive approach and just rank the sororities I like and leave the rest alone. The rankings will even themselves out that way without me having to add any negativity. Why would I want to anyway?

We seriously need to completely stop the mean rankings! Spring testing is this week and so many people are taking tours at lsu and if we want girls to rush at all we all need to come together and agree to stop ranking! We will scare girls off and I'm sure we can all agree that no one wants that! Let's seriously try to stop this

I'm completely with you on that. If I had stumbled upon this site before rush, I never would have done it. It's intimidating the amount of hatred at times. I think we should all just try to make an effort to make this a more positive thing.
