sorority comments

this site was created to entertain people by bashing others, so stop using "you are self-ranking!!!!" as an insult. it is not an insult because everyone is self ranking! duhhh! i want to see more creative insults!! Thanks for the entertainment.

look at the total ratings of each sorority and it says a lot. KD has a somewhat high number because they've been near the top since this site was started, and the top is the easiest to critique. on the other hand, ZTA and theta have nearly double the numbers because there are so many false ratings that everyone else sees how outrageous it is. then all of those inbetween dont really care because no ones fighting for the "5th" spot, or whatever.
honestly, #1 should be equally DDD,KD,PHI MU, and despite the criticism KKG and CHI O too. #2 pi phi and the rest...who cares at this point. whatever its all subjective anyway

I came upon this site while checking out colleges for our daughter. If she chooses LSU, she will not be pledging a sorority, that's for sure. All you catty girls making negative comments about the various sororities and the way girls look, etc., you are all a disgrace to LSU and the Greek system in general. It's truly embarrassing. And, I agree with rangerette, Theta is a very reputable chapter. When I read all of your comments about Theta, it tells me that you're worried about others finding out. Shame on all of you, and shame on LSU for allowing this to happen.

Zeta and DZ are the ones ranked 4th and 5th, and "No one at LSU" is actually not a mom who's daughter might go to LSU and is probably a Theta because Theta is not a flagship Theta chapter.

"Rangerette". Ha ok. No recruitment advisor would actually get on a website like this and talk about rankings of sororities the way you do. Nice try, but I would bet money that you're actually one of the DZs, Zetas, DGs, or Thetas that you're claiming are top 4 or 5. We know where the top girls went, and trust me when I say maybe 1 or 2 went DZ and NONE went Zeta, DG, or Theta.

have you ever thought that what you consider top girls is not what other sororities consider top girls? these 4 sororities probably got exactly who they wanted to minus a few.

I don't know what ranking of top sororities you were reading, but I will be completely unbiased. Kappa, Theta, Pi Phi, and Chi O probably have the strongest sororities NATIONALLY. If you're looking in the south...KD, Phi Mu, Tri Delt, Chi O, Kappa and even a little Zeta are probably your best bets. As far as LSU...KD, Tri Delt, Phi Mu, Kappa, Chi O, and Pi Phi have the strongest reputations. I don't know what website would list KD as a top 10 strongest nationally, but not have Theta listed (although KD is a top 3 here).

Bottom line: all sororities have strong and weak chapters so your daughter's best shot is to go where she feels comfortable. Those are the girls she will be spending most of her time with for 4 years.

The point of "top girls" is that every sorority wants these girls. These are the girls who don't get cut (or maybe 1 or 2 sororities cut them at most). It's not hard to spot those girls. Also, look at the return rates for sororities. That tells you alot. There are about 5 sororities that have consistently higher return rates than those "bottom 4". Sorry.

Sorry, "let me guess," I am just a mom, not a Theta. I let my daughter see this site and she now agrees that there are other more productive ways to get involved on campus other than joining this catty bunch.

I posted a comment on this site a few days ago hoping to make an impression and stop the horrible things that are being posted about the LSU sororities, but it doesn't seem to have helped.
I thought posting the Panhellenic Creed might help. This is the mission statement of all college panhellenics and should be words that ALL greeks live by.
