sorority comments

If you want to know the ranks, as one mom to another; this is how my daughter says they would honestly be ranked:

First tier
Kappa, Phi Mu, KD
(most people agree about these three being at the top)

Second Tier
Tri Delt, Chi O, Pi Phi
(Tri Delt and Chi O are in some people's top, but they have both slipped a little. Pi Phi is much improved, but they need a couple more good rushes to be universally considered "top")

Third Tier
DZ, DG
( DZ has a reputation of flash over substance and DG is a little more reserved and not quite as socially active)

Fourth tier
Zeta
(they have improved a lot and some might consider them higher than this)

Fifth tier
Theta
(they have also improved, but still have a way to go)

I don't think there is any bad sorority, your girls should really just go where they feel most comfortable. Who wants to pledge a house just because it's considered "top", and then feel like they don't fit in?

Are Tri Delt and Kappa on probation? Why can't the PNMs get a straight answer to this question?

YES they are both on probation. Everyone tries to hide it during rush!!!

Ddd's is a longer probation though cause that incedent just happened

MIDDLE: ΖΤΑ, ΠΒΦ, ΔΔΔ, ΚΚΓ
BOTTOM: ΔΖ, ΔΓ, ΚΑΘ

From a "lower tier" sorority... There really isn't a "top" house...
But I think it's known that chi o and kd are the top purely based on reputation.
Followed by phi mu.... Kappa and Ddd are tied for the forth space I suppose.

another mother is on here ranking the sororities.I personally feel that would be up to my daughter and to do that posting.Thankfully, she has no desire to create more havoc on this site.I think every sorority girl would tell you their house is
"tops".I will be very glad when this week is over.

you should just go where you feel the most comfortable. Why would you want to be in a house that's considered top if you aren't really comfortable there? It's not really so much about one being better than another, but certain personality types really do fit in better with some of the sororities.

How many girls are going through rush this year? I heard early cuts were heavy which is why I wondered if there were a large number of recruits. My niece was cut by two after ice water. We were a little surprised because we thought none of.the houses really make cuts first round unless they don't have the grades or rec. My niece had over a 3.0 GPA and a rec to each sorority. I don't know if it matters, but she was cut by KD and Tri delt.
