sorority comments

Stop spreading rumors. I'm sure there are isolated incidents of mean girls doing unkind things to their pledge sisters in every sorority. I also know "bigger" girls in each of the top 5 sororities who got in because of their shining personalities and now have many close friends in their sisterhood. I also know girls in some of the "bottom tier" sororities who have mean girls in their pledge classes. Girls will always be mean and many don't grow out of this. There are 40 and 50 year old mean girls, too.

continue the whole high school experience, then by all means join a sorority. If you're nostalgic for all the little cliques and the fight to be in the "popular" crowd then you'll fit right in. I guess I was very naive going into it, I thought it was going to be more about community service and making friends. Girls like to come on here and say "it is what you make of it". If that's true then I'm not quite sure where I went wrong because I went into it wanting to make new friends. I was ready for a change, and wanted to meet a diverse group of girls. Unfortunately you don't get much diversity in a sorority.

I'm transferring to LSU in the fall. Can anyone please tell me how to affiliate or tell if I need to talk to the chapter beforehand in order to affiliate. Thank you! geaux tigers!

you can probably find the presidents email from the chapter's website. Or you can always ask your chapter's advisor on how to contact them! The advisor will probably know more about it!
