Anyway, it's funny theta is SO LOW at lsu, same with DG. DG is HUGE in other parts of the country.

I can't think of any big Greek school (SEC schools, Texas, etc.) where DG is considered clearly top tier like Chi O, KD and Tri Delt are at many schools. I think their only "good" chapter is the one at Ole Miss, and that's only because their founding chapter is in Oxford. Every other DG chapter in the south is lower mid tier at best. Try again PNM/Theta.

And why is it funny that Theta is so low? They are awful at LSU, and everyone (Greeks, GDIs, PNMS, etc.) knows it.

It's funny because Theta is top at other schools. I'm just commenting on how houses vary from school to school.

KD, Tri Delt, Chi O, and Phi Mu are probably the best sororities in the SEC. KD and Phi Mu are terrible anywhere outside of the south (and they either suck or don't exist at Texas schools). And Dg does have another good chapter at Florida. The best nationally are Theta, Kappa, and Pi Phi.

everyone should disregard the comment below this, because this person has NO CLUE that they are talking about. how could you talk about top sororities in Florida and Texas without including ZTA? at UF, FSU, Texas A&M, and UT zeta is THE BEST THERE IS. do your homework!

Notice the sec was mentioned. Zeta is the best at some of the schools listed, but the original poster was right. Zeta isn't top in the sec. And being strong in 2 southern states doesn't exactly make you a strong southern sorority.

Zeta is pretty good and considered a top sorority at UGA, South Carolina and I think Arkansas as well. They're also pretty good at Alabama too.

Ok, nationally the top sororities are Pi Phi, Kappa, Theta, Tri Delt, Chi Omega, Delta Gamma and Alpha Phi (not necessarily in that order). Point being, the world does not revolve around LSU or the south. Some of the sororities that are strong at SEC schools have NO presence or prestige elsewhere. Expand your horizons people.

Chi O, DZ, Alpha Phi and ZTA have the most chapters. Alpha Phi isnt very good because they pretty much only have chapters at small schools. Chi O, Tri-Delt, Kappa and Zeta are the best and most recognized nationally. then comes Pi Phi and DG
