sorority comments

are considered the "top" because it's "always" been that way. There really is no reason. They are very picky during rush because they feel like they can be. They don't try all that hard to impress the girls because they assume they don't have to. It's really a whole atmosphere of entitlement. Unless they REALLY want you for some reason, they aren't going to try very hard. If you like that sort of thing, more power to you. Just not really my thing, I'm really happy in my "middle" tier sorority where I really feel wanted and accepted.

I would like to wish all ten amazing chapters at LSU good luck this week. The Greek system needs all the groups to do well because the system as a whole is stronger when all groups are succesful. The ten groups at LSU are all different but that is what makes them wonderful, they offer something different and unique to their members. If they were all the same, then what would be the point of having ten different groups? That would be so boring.

To all PNMs - follow your heart, don't pick a group because all your high school friends are picking that group or because a guy tells you to pick a certain group, pick a place where you will be happy and honestly, if you try, you can be happy in any of the groups at LSU.

recruit more sororities? Alabama and Georgia have many more choices than LSU. Also sorority row has some empty houses, why not fill those.

they are recruiting more sororities.......there are actually atleast 4 reps looking right now.

going through rush as a legacy hurt or help you if you have a really impressive resume

It depends, sorry this isn't what you want to hear. Some sororities have more legacies going through recruitment then they have spots to fill, so they will have to release legacies. Some chapters will assume certain legacies will definately pledge their mom's group and release them because they don't think they have a chance, so they don't want to waste a spot on their invite list for someone they don't think they have a chance of getting.....it is complicated!

No what you said made me feel so much better. I am a legacy and only got invited back to two. In high school I was cheer cocaptain homecoming nhs yearbook stuco etc. I'm not trying to brag it just hurt and I had no ideas why I wasn't invited back. And I had recs for all.

What kind of legacy are you? In-house sister? Mom, grandmother, or maybe even a double or triple leg?
