sorority comments

I don't know who is posting all this "super sorority" stuff but there is absolute no truth to this title. The National Panhellenic Conference was formed so the 26 national groups would work together toward a common goal. Naming a few groups as "super" would be totally against the aims of the NPC. This is just another attempt by a few groups to try to make themselves look elite. So PNMs, follow your heart, don't join a group because someone on here says they are "super" anyone can come on here and make up stuff.

Some sororities see themselves as superior. This is crazy. Why would young women abuse handicap parking? Why would anyone think they are a member of a "super sorority" ? All sororities are equal at least that is what Panhellenic says. I believe the University or Greek Life needs to step in and address this with each of these groups at LSU. WE ARE ALL PART OF GREEK LIFE. Whenever I read something about top or bottom tier, see girls making snide remarks about other sororities it makes me angry. Other SEC campus seem to make this work better even Alabama. LSU needs to get with the program. THE TIME FOR CHANGE IN THE GREEK COMMUNITY IS NOW. If is the alumni, change them, if its the officers, vote them out, if its the actives re-educate them, but lets make a change for the better NOW!!!!!! I love LSU and I love my sorority regardless what you may think.

that someone would actually post this "super" crap. Why do these groups so desperately want to be acknowledged as "better"? Anyone who is wondering about whether this "super" stuff could possibly be true, use your heads. What's top at one university doesn't even translate over to other universities. How could certain sororities then be considered "super" on a nationa level?

I have actually heard this theroy also about the inner circles of the national panhel. think it is sooooo funny that no one is mentioning the other group that is known to be part of this inner group- Kappa Alpha Theta!!!

No offense but KD would not be included in any kind of "super sorority" listing. KD is one of those that is mainly just good in the south. KKG, Pi Phi, and Theta would be the "super sororities" if there was such a thing.

which is my point exactly. How can you acknowledge certain sororities as "super" when the "top" aren't even considered "top" across the board. If theta is part of this "super" group, then they should be acknowledged as well, but it doesn't serve the purpose that these girls are trying to acheive to acknowledge them at LSU. If you read these "super" posts they go on to say that any sorority that must criticize another to gain merit has no substance. Which is ironic, because just by setting themselves up as "super" they are essentially saying that they are better and more worthy than the rest, which IS actually a criticism.

NPC stands for the National Panhellenic Council, not the National Pan-Hellenic Council which was mentioned in the post. They council with the hyphen is the governing conference for the traditional African-American sororities and fraternities and known as NPHC. If you are going to post something to try to make yourself look better than others, at least figure out which conference you are governed by!!

I could care less where someone parks, but it's hilarious that you took the time to say something about it. Calling people out is what middle school girls do. Grow up.

How sad you lack compassion for people who need handicap parking spaces. You might want to check with some of your DDD sisters and find out if one of them might have a family member who needs a special parking space. I guess you have no grandparents or friends that might need the space. I will pray for you.
