recs
by: pnmThe example "resume" online says to include parents occupations but a lot of people say it's tacky and not to do it, what would most sororities like KD, Chi O, & Tridelt prefer?

yes that is a very good question - as someone who has written recs and seen that, I'm very curious what the general consensus is on that... It looks extremely tacky to me and I was surprised when I saw it b/c we didn't include that info when I was at LSU as far as a I know

I am also very curious to how other Greeks view this. I understand it is there for sororities to know whether or not PNMs can pay their dues and the people writing the recs can check off whether they can afford it or not but first off who's to say that just because their parents have certain jobs doesn't mean they might not have other means of income? I also feel that it is the PNMs responsiblility to be aware of the finances needed and take that into consideration before applying for rush. We as members should not cut a girl because we assume she isn't rich when we could be absolutely wrong and be cutting a great girl.
