Now that LSU is open for sorority expansion, who do you think will present/who would you like to see here?

ADPi -- they were the second house on campus, and LSU is now the only SEC school without them.

Alpha chi or sigma kappa

I think it would be great if Kappa Alpha Theta would come here. They could move into the Campus Press building that is being renovated or build something on that vacant lot in between the Kappa Alpha Tau house and the Zeta tau Alpha house. They are very solid in the South. Let me know what y'all think about my idea, ok?

Oops! Just realized that KAT is already here and that Alpha Phi will be using the vacant land next to the ZTA house. That is what happens when you take a small town girl from a small town college in a small sorority and place her in this beast of a town. Sorry if I offended anyone.

i would love to see any of the groups that have already been at LSU come back, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Sigma Kappa, .....I am not sure if Alpha Chi Omega or Gamma Phi Beta were ever at LSU. For a group to be successful they will need an alumnae base and if a group has been at LSU before, there would be alumnae in the area to help with the colonization.

Alpha Omicron Pi: Alpha Omicron, 1938-1980
Alpha Xi Delta: Beta Iota, 1938-1988
Gamma Phi Beta: Gamma Lambda, 1964-1977
Phi Sigma Sigma: Omicron, 1927-1933

ADPi is obviously a strong contender but then I would say GPhi, maybe AOPi (although they tend to do really poorly at colonizing), maybe Sigma Kappa and AXO

I'd like to see Alpha Xi Delta, they're picking up traction at a lot of schools and I think they'd be a good fit

Alpha Xi Delta has a lot of controversy because of their philanthropy, Autism Speaks. A lot of people feel that Autism Speaks is not good, because they have no people with autism on their board of directors, they have a bit of a bully attitude, and they treat autism like a tragedy instead of something that is just a different way of being in the world. I would not support Alpha Xi Delta coming on here.

Okay, but, you can't fault the chapters for the philanthropy, that is National's decision.

I was a member of the beta Iota chapter from 1965-1969 and would love to know of any plans to have a reunion or correspondence of former associates.aheb

Definitely Alpha Delta Pi. First - Finest - Forever!

ADPi is only good in Georgia and some places in Florida. Everywhere else they're terrible.

I'm feeling ADPi the most. I do feel we should let a sorority recolonize and have one that has been here before. I don't think we should let one on that has no history here.

agree! It definitely should be a chapter that has been here before! There are plenty of chapters that closed that could come back and be great additions.

Any idea when we'll hear who has been invited to present?
