No idea....maybe they have never been good...or maybe that got in trouble years ago and never recovered. I don't know
Whatever the reason its kind of strange..since Theta is very good at most schools in Texas (UT, Baylor, SMU, ect.) and its pretty damn good in the rest of the South.

LSU's Theta chapter got in trouble years ago and was put on severe probation. It hurt them as a chapter. However, they have since steadily improved. Advise your daughter to give them a chance. If she does decide to drop, she won't be able to go through recruitment again for a full calendar year, or not be part of a sorority at all. There is always the option of going to another school, but Greek life at LSU is a great experience. Hopefully your daughter will come to see that they saw something special in her that other houses didn't.

Does your daughter ever plan to leave Baton Rouge? Theta is very strong nationally and is a top house at other SEC schools such as Vandy, Georgia, and Florida. It also has great chapters at UT and Tulane. Since this is the only bid your daughter has, she should give Theta a chance. They saw something in her that the other groups missed.
