Theta Xi and pike.

Theta Xi kicked ass in recruitment last fall and are making waves on campus. They did a complete 180 with their chapter and with KA losing momentum they're the next in like for that top tier ranking. They had a lot of weird guys back in the day but their new members over the past 2 years are phasing that reputation out.

Pike is definitely up and coming and I think that's why they get so much hate. They were irrelevant until recently and now they've got a lot of buzz going on about them, positive and negative. They had two average sized pledge classes in both semesters and they've become more prominent and recognizable on campus in the recent years. They've got the makings and potential of a solid middle tier fraternity, but one year of success doesn't guarantee that.

Both will probably pull really good pledge classes and will have a great fall rush. Pike definitely needs to be more selective in recruiting before they can really be an established middle tier fraternity, while theta xi seems to be on top of things. Looking forward to seeing how they grow in the next year.

Can someone explain to me the reason why other fraternities hate on pike so much? I transferred from a much smaller school in the spring and reaffiliated with a neighboring fraternity, and from what I've seen of them they've all been okay dudes, typical nerdy looking guy or gym rat. Haven't had a bad interaction with one and they seem more or less like they keep to themselves. Is it just a running TFM joke or am I missing something?
